Second Glance by Jodi Picoult

This is the second last book I needed to read by Jodi, only one left!  Unless she has come out with some recently (and my list is not up-to-date).  This one was different from the "regular" Jodi books, and I liked that it was.  No lawyers involved.  Just chapters trying to figure out how everyone is intertwined and everything gets wrapped up nicely at the end.

Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

I read this right after Eclipse, and just realized it wasn't posted.  This messes up my order greatly.  But I need it to be posted for record keeping.

The Weight of Blood by Laura McHugh

This book was sent to me by Chapters, for free!  Just wanting to hear my opinion.  I finally got that read too.  It reminded me of books by Gillian Flynn but a lot tamer.  It gets right down to business, which I like, and it also switches between characters, like Jodi Picoult does.  I was completed confused for the first third of the book, with the character switching, because it doesn't explain that the characters are in different time frames.  Once I figured that out the book made a lot more sense.

The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon

I finally finished book five in the series.  This book took forever to get through.  I started it months and months ago and put it down for a very long stretch.  When I picked it back up it finally got to an interesting part and stayed that way until the end.  That I wanted to put the book down at all is a disappointment.  That I needed months of a break is also a disappointment.  But my friend who has read the series assures me the next book is better than this one.

I think I read 3/4 in 2014 and finished the other 1/4 this year.

Faking Normal by Courtney Stevens

I forgot to keep track of the books when I finished them!!!  Some may be lost now.  I read this book in November and only know that for sure because I told my friend (who has the same name) I was reading it and we had a movie date in November, so that was when I told her about it.

If I read something after this, before trying to finish the ginormous book by Diana, then I have no idea what it was.  :(  Anyway, this was supposed to be in 2014.

The Silver Star by Jeannette Walls

I had read The Glass Castle by her and it was very well written, so I decided to try another.  This was also well written.  It's about two sisters with an absent mother who travel to stay with their uncle where their mum grew up.  Eventually the mother comes back to get them, but a lot happens while they are in her hometown.

Blush by Lauren Jameson

If you are looking for an erotica book, I would not tell you to get this one.  Compared to the other ones I've read, this one is pretty low key.  Not a great story line either.  Have one more by this author I got at the same time, and then I will not be reading another.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

This was a cutesy teen-aged book.  The end made me mad.  Most do.

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

Ok, so what happened here is this was recommended to me through my Chapters email alert and I put it on the long list of things I want to read.  Then I went to to movies to see TFiOS and the preview for this played, and I was hooked.  And then I remembered, hey, that is a book and it's on my list to read.  So, as always, had to read the book first.  I enjoyed it.  But this is a rare case where I feel the movie will be better than the book.

Where She Went by Gayle Forman

This is the sequel to If I Stay which kind of cut off right in the middle.  I'm glad there was a second book to pick up the story.  I wasn't very happy with the way things were going for the characters in this one.  But just when I thought it was going to do nothing but disappoint, it pulled together.

His to Possess by Opal Carew

In some ways this book is like the 50 shades series.  But in another way, it is very far from that.
Just another erotic novel / love story.

Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer

I read this too and forgot to post!  I may have read it before Allegiant.  I'm on the last book now.  Still waiting to see the movies because my friend has told me not to see them without her.  This one was better then book two.

Allegiant by Veronica Roth

Finished this WEEKS ago.  Forgot to post.  Wow.  I did NOT like the end of this trilogy.  Spoiler*  YOU DO NOT KILL THE MAIN CHARACTER!  So unhappy, I can't write anything more about the book.  Of course today I see there is another book out called "Four" which I assume will carry on his story without her.

New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

So I read the first book so long ago I don't even remember the title of it.  My friend has loaned me the series now, so I finished book two last night.  It was one that I wanted to keep reading, but only because I was waiting for there to be more Edward.  He is probably only in 1/4 of this book.  My friend told me this was her least favorite.  I'm sure I liked the first one better.  But I guess the events in the book are necessary to the series.  So lack of Edward meant a lot more Jacob.  And you keep waiting for the moment Bella finally decides to let go of Edward and just try things out with Jacob, because he does make her happy.  But when you think it is going to happen, it gets interrupted and it doesn't happen at all!  Which I guess is fine.  Since she doesn't love him the same way.  I'm starting book three and hope it's better.  Now I will be able to watch the movie!  I am so far behind the trend.

The Death Cure by James Dashner

This was the final book in The Maze Runner Trilogy.  I'm not sure if this book was as strange as the others.  No review.  Glad I finished the series.
