The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley

I read this book in March.  I absolutely LOVED this book.  The main character is a little girl that is very interested in science, and being a detective.  She is around eleven I think, with two sisters, her dad, and the gardener...also there is a lady that comes to clean the house and cook.  You can't tell she is eleven by the way it is written and the knowledge she has though.  The author is very descriptive and pays attention to detail which I liked a lot.  I loved this book so much I later read the sequel.  I recommend this book to anyone looking for a light read with flair.
